Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand has launched its Protected Cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for government agencies thanks to a new partnership with Vault Systems.

The Fujitsu Protected Cloud portfolio was built on Vault Systems’ Australian Signals Directorate (ASD)-certified protected infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).

Vault Systems and Sliced Tech were awarded the certification in March 2017 as the first providers to achieve the ‘protected’ level at the time, giving them the ability to handle classified and highly sensitive government data.

The solution includes IaaS, backup-as-a-service (BaaS) and government desktop-as-a-service (GovDaaS).

“With government agencies aggressively adopting cloud-first strategies, security has been a key concern,” Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand CEO Mike Foster said. “The Fujitsu Protected Cloud solution addresses those security concerns and delivers increased workforce adaptability and mobility.”
